Digory and Polly use magic rings to travel between worlds. This audio performed by the brilliant Kenneth Branagh, with an incredible range of voices. Pay attention when in the section where a dozen animals are talking to each other.

The tale of two horses and two children trying to escape to Narnia, during the
reign of the four children. This audio version was admirably performed by Alex Jennings.
by P. J. O'Rourke (

The author humorously and cynically reports on the party conventions for the
1988 presidential race, and follows the goings-on in Washington, D.C. in the
early days of George H. W. Bush's presidency.

Eustace and Jill must rescue a prince and follow directions. This audio

version was nicely performed by Derek Jacobi.

Excellent, engaging stories about the founding fathers. Covers the
Burr/Hamilton duel, why the slavery issue was ignored in the founding of the
country, and a lot about the relationship of Adams and Jefferson. You will be
much more familiar with the word
propitious after completing this book.

A book based on a video game. About as good as you'd expect with that pedigree.
Some early statements were painfully obvious explanations of game mechanics.
"Captain, maybe we ought to consider building a second base to take advantage
of more natural resources." (Paraphrase).

The four children return to Narnia and help a young prince. Not as good as the
first one, but worth reading. This audio version was well performed by Lynn
Redgrave.
by C. S. Lewis (
Audio book, finished ~1/6/2006)
Four children stumble into another world and find adventure. I thought the
movie was awfully good, but the book is better. This audio book was performed
fantastically by Michael York.
